Amy's Awesome Paper Storage Idea!

Amy over at Bearpaw Studios recently updated her crafts room with a bright and cheery colour scheme and new shelves. I love how everything has a place to live, but is within easy reach:

Let's take a closer look at the paper storage unit on her desk:

Looks great, doesn't it? Lots of room, colour-coordinated, and allows you to see all your colours at once. Want to know where to get one? Make it! In Amy's own words:

"We took an unfinished cube from Michaels and used 3/8" square wooden spacers and foam poster board. I used a 3" piece of grosgrain ribbon to show which color is in that space. Now I can see each color (and how much I have so I can keep a better inventory.)"

I just love the idea of using ribbon to indicated the colour as well as make it easy to pull out the paper you need. Thanks for the awesome idea Amy!

Regina's Ribbon Keepers idea

Many of you may have the Stampin Up Ribbon Keepers, so I think this idea on how to store and display a storage is equally as good as the storage product itself!

Regina says:
I love the Stampin' Up! Ribbon Keepers.....but mine kept falling over.  This is an extremely easy fix, but one I hadn't thought of until recently....and even a great place to hang them.

Click here for Regina's blog and here for the entry on the storage idea.

Ashli Craft room

I will let Ashli talk about her craft room
We turned our Main Floor Powder room in to a Craft Room. We took out our toilet and sink, capped off the plumbing and added the cabinets. We used Michaels Scrapbook storage cabinets for the left side of the room and Ikea cabinets for the far wall.
I Love to Scrapbook and knit and the room supports those functions perfectly.
I started a blog a couple months back and no matter what else I do to the house the craft room still gets the most attention, I think it's because it use to be a bathroom.

Click here for the main page of her blog and here for the posts that relate to the craft room.
There are alot of pictures and a good explanation.

Angela's Brad storage

Angela Tolleson's idea is simple but so effective for finding easily the right brad.

Angela used solid cardstock and just add brads as she gets them.

Diane's studio

This is one of those studios that you can see that the crafter, Diane Henkler in this case, really creates in it.

I always find irresistible pieces that can be adapted to facilitate the project of technique.

I love this armoire.

Click here for more info and photos. Trust me, it is worth it.

Margy Vogel-Coomer storage

When I received Margy's submission I loved the way that she had selected a colour combination, Red and off white, as well as a shabby chic rustic look.

Wendy studio ideas

I will let Wendy explain:
This is the view looking at the craft room from the window, I could not decide what colour to paint, greens, pinks, lilac were all on my mind but went for plain old white, it does make the room a lot brighter.
I will give you a detail photo and description of each area as we go around the room.

I these little drawers I keep all my promarkers, I have labels on with the colours in each drawer

Click here for more photos and explanation about it click here.

Ana's clear stamp storage

I will let Ana explain her system herself:
I´ve had some pieces of acrilic cutted, with 12x12 inches and some pieces of acetate in the same size.
With my Big Bite I made holes in all the pieces and I put it all togheter, as you can see in the picture.
I´ve mounted it as a book: acrilic, stamps, acetate, then acrilic, stamps, acetate, so the stamps are always between acrilic and acetate.
It´s an easy way to see what you have and, being in the same size of my cardstocks, the storage is easy in my scraproom.
I think you can have it in small sizes and separete the stamps by theme, like: alphas, christmas, baby, etc.

Helena Söderberg's Craft Studio

I L.O.V.E. this room, so simple and modern. The combination of open and clossed shelving is great

The fabric is so nicely organized it feels like you are The Gap looking at the shirts dislpay,

She has this rack specifically for wrapping paper, what a great idea!
For more photos of Helena's studio visit her Flikr My New Craft Studio Set
Her Flikr gallery is also amazing, you can visit her here.
