Denise is pretty proud and excited about her scrapbooking room. The desk is a smart desk with a plug outlet in the top right drawer. The desk, shelves, and cabinet are from Pottery Barn Teen. The paper is stored in an armoire that lost it's door in a move and worked perfectly for vertical storage. The patterned paper is stored in the tall paper storage that Denise bought from a scrapbooking store that went out of business.

Copic Marker Storage idea.
As many of us, I have been bitten by the Copic Craze and I'm completely addicted. My collecion keeps growing and a simple pencil case doesn't cut it any more. I stumbled upon the blog of one of my I {heart} Copics Design Teammates,Judy. Judy and I both like our Copics to be portable. I have one of these CTMH My Acrylic Organizers on order. Pefect size and shape. You can see the lids of all your markers and small enough to tote around to crops, or in front of the TV. Check out her blog or website for more pictures and/or information.

Card Candy Store

I fell in love with it. It is so neat. Its a plastic box that contains 13 ATC boxes full of Card Candy, one of Craftwork Cards really cool card creations.
It is a pretty useful way to store them, but more importantly, at £20.51 so you basically get storage boxes for free.

Card Candy is a die cut and shaped card that you can use to decorate card and do so many different things. You can check out Julie Hickey's blog as she is the master of Card Candy.
Also, Craftwork Cards sell direct, so if QVC is out of stock you can get it from here.

Ribbon Storage
For my ribbon storage, I used a Ikea kitchen storage system and MDF ribbon holders from Kaiser Craft.

Hanging File Sticker Storage
We all know hanging file folders are great as sticker storage -or any other flat item-, after all, they are easy to label and put away, however, the small stickers always end up falling out to the sides, so here's a solution I came up with:
I staple a gallon size ziplock bag and store the stickers inside.

Organizing MY Craft Desk Top
This is my craft desk top.
When I was looking for ideas to organize the top of my desk I shopped in the kitchen department at the local Walmart.
I found these Rubbermaid Interlocking Mesh Drawer Organizers and I thought they'd be great for grouping supplies together.
If I need to, I can easily take one organizer out and use the supplies in another area of my house.
I also found this Made Smart expandable shelf organizer (for spice bottles) for under $10 at Walmart. It's expandable from 14" to 27".
Because it steps up the drawer organizers in height, I can see what's in them and find what I need more easily.
This works for me and I hope it gives you some ideas to help you organize your craft space too!

Fun Fabric Boxes
Christina from The Sometimes Crafter shares a tutorial to make these adorable little fabric boxes. A great addition to a crafts room that uses fabric for accents, this would be a great way to coordinate some storage items!
With lots of photos, directions, and tips, the tutorial makes it sound really easy. Now I just need to pull out my sewing machine and give it a try.
Wouldn't they be perfect for all sorts of embellishments like buttons, clips, and ribbon?

Rubber Stamp Storage
As most of you stampers know, storing stamps takes alot of space something most of us have very little of. This storage solution came from many sources and forums etc. Jennifer McGuire gave me the idea for the holders. She has since just changed her system. But that is what Crafty Storage is about, using methods that work for you and if they don't change to one that does. I just took and modified it to work for me.
This is not a project that can be done in a day. This did take me a few weeks and I prepared myself for that. Since I kept my stamps by type the first sort was easy.Sentiments, objects, birthdays etc. I then stamped each image on a 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock. I then began to unmount my wood stamps by category. I put the stamps in the microwave for about 30 seconds. I then would remove the rubber from the wood and set aside.(There a numerous sites that can give you specific directions, just use a search engine and type unmounting wood stamps)
When I was done with the unmounting I used Alene's Tack over and over glue and put on the back of my unmounted stamps with a foam brush. I let them dry overnight then I used acrlyic sheets as a backing for the stamp. Then I used the Loose Leaf binder sheets from Office Depot to slide the sheets into. See below.
I then labeled each holder Objects 1, Objects 2, Sentiments 2, Sentiments 3, etc. This allows my system to grow because each new binder holder becomes the newest number and gets added the inventory notebook.
I then placed my stamped sheets into a notebook and used dividers to section them. I placed the stamped sheets in a sheet protector. I then used post its on the stamped images and then I counted how many object 1's I had and printed everything on the round labels that were made for the printer. I used a fun font. I then placed the round sticker on each image.
To keep my stamps sorted and organized I covered manilla file folders with decorative paper. I ran the tags thru my computer and then used my Nestabilities for the labels.
So when I get ready to stamp I pull out my Inventory Notebook and go to the category I need and I look at my choices and then I see the stamp is in Objects 2 then I pull the Objects 2 out and grab my stamp.
No more digging thru stamps. Easy peasy! Again remember that it was a long process but the results are so worth it. Please feel free to visit my blog
