When crafty storage takes over the whole house

Today is Nancy's crafty storage turn.

I don't have just one room...it has taken over my whole house. I'm single again, so I don't have to worry about it!
I give a little tour of all the "stuff". I'm not certain any of it fits your definition of "good storage" because I didn't clean up for the pictures!  It is "REAL LIFE".
To me good storage is what works for the crafter. So your is as goods as it gets!

Hallelujah! I feel better! Thank you for posting REAL pictures. I can hardly even bear looking at those perfect studio magazines. Sure, they are gorgeous studios but please.... does someone actually work like that? I need mine in a functional mess. However, the key word is "functional" and currently, mine isn't. Need help....

Paula! Thank you so much for featuring my home on your blog! Girl, you have some kind of following!!! I got TONS of hits yesterday and they are still rolling in! (I just wish I knew how to convert hits into cash
:-) I haven't figured that trick out yet.) I'm even still getting lots of hits on the recycled Dr. Pepper bottle marker holder thingy you posted a while back!!! There are obviously a lot of us desperate for the right solutions to our obsessions. THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING HOPE that there is a "right answer" out there for us some where!

Thanks for the comment Angie. The thing about a clean surface is that it begs for me to come make something on it! Which, more often than not, I don't actually finish so I leave it. Whoops! clean space gone again!
I honestly believe that most all creative people are the same... We all like our stuff and we also love organizers (even if we don't use them) I LOVE, LOVE The Container Store. Problem is, once something goes into hiding I don't use it...and too I like SEEING my stuff :-)

Is there something about your blog that doesn't like Firefox? It opened for a second then went to timing in. But it never reappeared. I finally got to it in IE but that's a LAST resort.

Hi Jill, Ya know...there must be, because a couple other folks have told me the same thing... but I am TOTALLY CLUELESS about how to fix that! I use Google Chrome so I never see the problem. I'm sorry for the trouble!!! I wish I knew how to fix it, because I'm like you I only use IE when NOTHING else works! THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING THE EFFORT!!!

Wow... that's a lot of stuff! But I bet she has fun!

However, ladies those studios that you see in the mags are not like that always. I have a friend that is a designer and her room has been in mags but believe me, when she is creating you'd think a train came through. But the magazines don't want 'reality' they want what the room looks like when all is put away. She begged for them to show a pic of when she is creating things for publication but they refused. Same with so many of the other studios you see in mags, they (the publishers) want the rooms tidied up and sparkling. So don't for a minute think that those rooms you see in mags are always like that. I've been in so many artists and designers studios to know that they aren't.
