Making the most of a small space

Take a peek at a corner of Julie's crafts room, and you'll see how you can pack a lot into a small space - it just takes the right storage!

I spy with my little eye:

- Ikea EXPEDIT desk combination

- Ikea ALEX drawer unit on casters

- Ikea BYGEL rails and basket

(are you seeing a pattern here? Ikea really IS one of the best places for storage ideas!)

- Mini Stackable drawer unit

- wooden cassette holder - this is one of my favourite thrifty storage ideas: check yard sales, thrift shops, and flea markets for an old-school cassette holder, and then use it to store all your ink pads!

Check out Julie's blog, Paper Pleasing Ideas, for even more ideas!

I'm relocating my craftroom in the basement soon.... it looks like I found how to take as less space as possible!! Thanks for this blog, I follow it since the beginning and I always find storage inspiration!

I can not agree more about IKEA is the best place to get organizational items for your scrapbook room. The running joke at my house is that I've partnered with Ikea in the design of my latest version of my scrapbook nook.

LOVE your space, it looks great!

Ikea is a great place to get storage items...if you have one in the area. What about us that don't have one close by? Any other alternative places? I live in Nebraska and the closest Ikea I can find is in Utah - way too far to shop!

Where did you get the mini stackable drawers that you have located under the left side of the desk? I love them but I didn't find anything similar at IKEA. Thanks

I am trying to find a place that has cabinets with the flat drawers like you have there from Ikea. I don't think Ikea makes that anymore!

So frustrated.

Ikea does the Alex drawers still, at least in the UK. The thin drawers are not IKea, they are the mini stackable ones.
