Hello crafty storage readers! I was browsing the internet looking for ideas to store my finished cards, when I came across Kajikit's blog. She had seen something similar elsewhere on the internet, so decided to use the idea to create practical card storage for her finished cards.
Originally she kept her finished cards in a plastic box, but they were not organised into sections so to find a particular one meant that they all had to be removed. The storage pictured here is actually plastic shoe storage, well two of them to be precise! Kajikit has taped two together and then hung them on the side of her storage drawers.
- Love
- Friendship
- Birthday
- Thinking of you/Miss you
- Encouragement/general
- Children (I don't make a lot of kiddy cards...)
- Current Holiday
- Next Holiday
- Future Holidays
- Next Year (in case I make cards for a holiday that's already passed...)
- Any Hero Cards
Kajikit also comments that each pocket looks like it will hold up to 20 cards, which is great, and so easily accessible!
So how do you store YOUR finished cards? I still haven't full decided what to do with mine, but I love this idea!

this is a great idea, I just store my cards in a basket in a drawer, this makes everything so accessible as well as being pleasing to the eye, you get to view all your lovely work !!! ideal I think, will be on the lookout for something similar
many thanks
anne :)
Thank you for featuring my storage in your blog! After having it for about four months, I'm still very happy about it. BTW, these aren't actual shoe holders - I got the IDEA from seeing somebody use a back-of-the-door-shoe-holder - but I don't have a handy door to hang it from. I got my pockets from The Dollar Tree and they're only half the size of an actual shoe-holder, which makes them perfect for cards. I fastened two of the units together with eyelets and tape.

Great idea! Being new to card making, I only have 8 or so cards complete. Right now they are at the cluttering stage on the hutch on my desk and I need to find a new place for them . . . very timely suggestion!
I love this idea, thanks for sharing it! I store them in boxes, etc, and I have categories, but the finished cards only get filed in there about twice a year, so they end up all over the place in the meantime and I can never find one when I need it, ugh! This idea seems very do-able!!
That is a great idea! I have a ribbon holder in my office that has a bar under it. I have the cards in bags and then hung on the bar with hooks. It is pretty easy to sort through them to find what I want.
BRILLIANT!!!
This is neat, although I think I would prefer to store them in a box with catagory dividers to keep the cards dust free.
Very clever and useful idea! I like
the fact that it doesn't take up
any additional space.
AWESOME IDEA! I just emptied my back of the door shoe thing that my punches were in, so this would be perfect!
