Cherry's Scrappy Cottage

I will let Cherry explain her Scrappy Cottage:
It is an 11x11 cottage in the back yard. My husband had it built for me so I could have a place all my own. I just think he was tired of all the girly stuff inside the house.

I love shabby chic, it is such a restful look. This is a place that I can create, dream and pray in.
The antique doll buggies were in my closet for sometime, I just could not get rid of them. So if I was going to keep them they had to be use, so that is how they became my ribbon storage.
I was talking to my dad about needing a girly pen holder, so he made these, and I think they go perfect in the space.

Harriet's idea: Copic (or any pen) storage

Love this idea from Harriet Hensley. A silverware holder, as seen in a cafeteria or restaurant. An additional advantage is the plastic holder can be removed and taken to your work table.

A tour of Jennifer Ellefson's Creative Space

Jennifer Ellefson has posted a tour around her beautiful craft space

I love the all the white - isn't it peaceful, just perfect to be creative in.

Jenn's main desk area - and in her own words "I like having things within reach, so there are lots of neat little storage options. It all appears to go together, but in reality, it doesn't! ;) I just keep my eyes peeled for good storage pieces, preferably those that go vertical with a small footprint so as not to take up too much space on the surface. If it isn't the right color, I usually just paint it!"

And a second work surface holds her sewing machine, die cut machine and copics

And a closer pic of her copic storage

Coloured Pencil Storage

Kasia solved her pencil storage problems by making and decorating her own display box.

As we all know, supplies that you can see are the supplies that are most likely to be used - keeping pencils tucked away in their original boxes can mean they never see the light of day!

Kasia's problem was that she had different sets of pencils with similar shades and couldn't really see if they'd work together when they were all stored separately. By creating a segmented display box to store her pencils in, she has colour inspiration at her fingertips and can easily see how well pencils from different sets work together.

You can view her original post (in Polish) here.
