Ashli Craft room

I will let Ashli talk about her craft room
We turned our Main Floor Powder room in to a Craft Room. We took out our toilet and sink, capped off the plumbing and added the cabinets. We used Michaels Scrapbook storage cabinets for the left side of the room and Ikea cabinets for the far wall.
I Love to Scrapbook and knit and the room supports those functions perfectly.
I started a blog a couple months back and no matter what else I do to the house the craft room still gets the most attention, I think it's because it use to be a bathroom.

Click here for the main page of her blog and here for the posts that relate to the craft room.
There are alot of pictures and a good explanation.

Pat winter's studio

I just love Pat's studio even though is not a papercraft one, i think everyone can get loads of good storage ideas.

In her own words:

I'm pretty content in my studio which is a converted spare bedroom in my home. I am a crazy quilter who experiments with a variety of other crafts which uses seed beads. My husband designed a great flat wall storage unit for many tubes of beads so I can see exactly what I need with a glance. I find drawer cabinets at tag sales and paint them cream to hang on the wall for small items. Although my supplies make my studio seem messy because they are in full view, I find it a breeze to walk around to each station and choose my embellishments for projects, If they were hidden behind doors or in drawers I would forget I have them.

Thread Organization by color and type

Hi my name is Marci and I am so excited to be a contributor to Crafty Storage. I have been stalking this blog for over a year.

Since I am a jack of all trades, mistress of many my space is multi-use. So this is how I organize my threads. I have these clear containers that I purchased at Joanns for 50% off. I have the threads by type then by color. So I have all my embroidery thread on the left then sorted by color and all of my regular thread on the right This works great for me.

Here are the links for the cone size and for the regular thread size.

You can visit me at my Incredible Creatables blog.
